Meet Dr. Nils-Otto Jaasko, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Nils-Otto Jaasko brings a unique background to his work in physical therapy. Dr. Otto was born and raised in Finland and his journey began on the ice as a competitive hockey player, which brought him to the U.S.—first for sport, then for education. He earned his degree in sports medicine followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), where he also served as a teaching assistant and graduate assistant in anatomy & physiology, movement science, and cadaver-based anatomy.
Dr. Otto is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedics and post-doctorate trained in dry needling, spinal manipulative therapy, and nutritional physical therapy. His clinical interests and expertise lie in neuro-orthopedics and advanced manual therapy and needling techniques. With over a decade of experience in rehabilitation and human performance, Dr. Otto is known for delivering highly individualized, evidence-based care that integrates cutting-edge physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and holistic wellness.
Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find him at the hockey rink, in the gym, or on the pickleball or tennis court. He’s also an avid reader and practices yoga to maintain balance both physically and mentally.
Driven by the Finnish concept of sisu—grit, perseverance, and resilience—Dr. Jaasko is committed to helping each patient overcome obstacles and achieve lasting results.
